Introduction to GUANGXI UNIVERSITY
Guangxi University, established in 1928, is a regional comprehensive university with the longest history and largest scale. Being the only National 211-Project Key Construction University in Guangxi and the co-administrative university by both the national Ministry of Education and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it has also been selected as a construction university within "First-class Discipline Project " and "National Plan to Promote the Comprehensive
Strength of Midwest Colleges and Universities". At present, 25 colleges in Guangxi University provides programs of eleven disciplines (philosophy, economics, law, liberal arts, education, sciences, engineering, agriculture, medicine, administration and art), including 10 post-doctoral research programs, 17 Ph.D. programs, 65 graduate programs and 98 undergraduate programs. Courses for students obtaining Chinese Government Scholarship are generally taught in Chinese. For now only some of the doctoral programs can be taught in English, especially science and engineering. The only master program taught in English is Ecology. The English-taught undergraduate program is unavailable. Students, unless their schools and supervisors provide courses taught in English, are required to take one-year preparatory Chinese language courses before major study. Duration for scholarship could NOT be extended unless the students make written application upon unavoidable reasons.
Applicants have to submit application documents online to the email lxs@gxu.edu.cn before April 30, 2021. Due to global COVID-19 pandemic circumstances, applicants do not need to send hard copies to the university by post.
Format of the mail title should be "CSC Scholarship+country name+applicant's full name"
Application should be made by the requirements above, otherwise would be rejected immediately.
1. Applicants should be in good health and non-Chinese citizen with a 10-year experience of living, studying or working in the domiciliary country.
2. Applicants should respect and observe the laws and regulations in China.
3. Education background and age limit:
- Applicants for undergraduate studies shall have high school diploma and should be under the age of 30.
- Applicants for master studies shall have bachelor’s degree and should be under the age of 35.
- Applicants for Doctorate studies shall have master’s degree and should be under the age of 40.
4. Basic requirements for language proficiency
- Applicants for undergraduate programs taught in Chinese language shall at least have past the HSK3 test before the application.
- Applicants for postgraduates programs (master and doctorate) taught in Chinese language shall at least have past the HSK4 test before the application.
- Applicants for programs taught in English language shall at least have scored 6.0 in IELTS or 80 in TOEFL before the application.

Due to global pandemic control circumstances, applicants do not need to send the hardcopies to us, however, applicants should guarantee the authenticity of the materials and be faithful during the application. Any behaviour of cheating or faking will lead to the rejection and termination of the scholarship.

1. Applicants should sign up in the website of Chinese Government Scholarship and apply online first. (linkage: www.csc.edu.cn/laihua). Applicants are strongly recommended to read through the instructions on the website before making application.
2. Sign up, log in with your user’s name and password and fill in the application information.
3. Fill in the correct Agency Number of Guangxi University: 10593
4. Fill in the application form truly, correctly, and completely. Application will be denied upon any unture information found.

Applicants can choose to study any major of any colleges or schools at Guangxi University except for languages other than Chinese language, eg., English, Japanese, etc.

1. Guangxi University will review all the application materials and is authorized to make neccessary adjustments on the applied majors and duration of study. The qualified applications will be forwarded to China Scholarship Council (CSC) who makes the final decision. The application will be regarded as invalid and will not be processed if the applicants are not qualified or the application materials are unture, incomplete, or against the recruitment regulations.
2. Scholarship applicants accepted by Guangxi University will be officially awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship with endorsement from CSC and submitted to Ministry of Education of China( MOEC) for the record.
4. Students are not allowed to change their majors, or the duration of study specified in the Admission Notice after registration.
5. The result of application will be announced around late July. Applicants will be informed by our emails. The awardees of scholarship will be given Admission Notice and visa application form (JW 201 form). Therefore, please make sure to provide the correct postal and contact information.
